Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on January 30, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. He moved into Casper, Wyoming with his family when he was 13. He was raised by his father who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and directed the soil conservation district located in Casper.
