Maeve is a Blackfoot Cherokee. In 2005, she made her debut on film in the short Liminality. She also made her big-screen debut in 2005 with the critically acclaimed drama Transamerica. 2004 was the year she made her TV debut as a part of the fourth season of Law & Order Criminal Intent episode. In 2014, she was a part of Dick Wolf s Chicago franchise as Nadia Decotis in Chicago P.D. . In 2015, she reprised her role as lead in Law & Order Special Victims Unit, a series from Wolf's previous television show. She also began portraying the female lead Julia Wicker in the Syfy show, a fantasy drama called The Magicians that year. Stella Maeve was a television actress who had successes, and continued to act in independent movies. Starlet (2012) is the drama she appeared in and won in the Film Independent Spirit Awards 2013, The Robert Altman Awards.
