Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show is set to return to CBS on 5 August for its third season. Chen Moonves has been an integral part of The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both the host and the moderator. Her true love was when she added writing to her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for it. Additionally, she was awarded an Emmy award for exceptional hosting of a talk show. The show was hosted by her co-hosts CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 between 2002 and 2010. Before that she was anchor for the news segment of The Early Show and anchor of the CBS Morning News, the CBS Television Network's early-morning, half-hour broadcast.Chen Moonves was a reporter on a variety of major news stories on The Early Show, including the 2003 war in Iraq. Chen Moonves was sent to Cairo in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. She went down and interviewed the father who led the hijackers in an eye-opening and interesting interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with newsmakers including former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania, the former defense secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. The program featured famous people like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert DeNiro and Jennifer Lopez. Before joining CBS News Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). She also was a reporter for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first job was as an assistant at ABC News, working on the late-night news program Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still one of Moonves' journalism heroes. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the Columbia du-Pont-winning Primetime Special that examined what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
