Stella Maeve (born in 1961) is an American actor best known as the outstanding actress on Julia Wicker who appeared on The Magicians. Originally from New York Maeve considers herself Native American. She is a Blackfoot Cherokee. Her first appearance on the big screen in Liminality (2005 short film). Transamerica is a highly acclaimed film comedy-drama from the year before, was her first appearance on the big screen. 2004 was the year she also had her first TV appearance with a four-season Law & Order Criminal Intent episode. Nadia Decotis joined Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise, Chicago P.D. in 2014. . In 2015, she reprised her role as lead for the role of lead Law & Order Special Victims Unit, a series from Wolf's other television franchise.
