The nickname of Tulloch Bitsie is not a contraction of her actual name Elizabeth, but rather a tribute to her grandfather who had a strangely-nicknamed World War II Bomber Pilot and was involved in 1961 Goldsboro B52 crash. Tulloch's acting career started with her being credited under the nickname Bitsie. This continued until 2017 which is when Tulloch chose to go by Elizabeth. In my introductions to new acquaintances, Bitsie is still the name I choose to use. The name worked for me as I started acting in my 20s. In my mid-30s and I felt that for the sake of billing, I would like to go back to Elizabeth. When I was filming, I didn't think about it. And the producer was like Hey we saw it was Elizabeth when we were filling out your legal papers. Would you like to be billed in this manner? As I began to think about it I contacted my manager and agent. Both agreed. Age has shifted. The name Bitsie is cute. This is cute. This is the whole thing it was that was said. Elizabeth was not the name I used to introduce myself. The name is only for billing purposes going forward. The ancestry of Tulloch is Scottish and has Spanish influences. Tulloch has stated her first language was Spanish however she no longer considers herself completely fluent. She has a paternal grandmother from Renfrewshire and her grandfather of Kirkwall. Both reside in Scotland. In an interview on BBC News she reported that we believe that the first Tulloch arrived in the US around 1880 and the Kerrs were introduced in the late 1900s. After her return back to her home in the U.S. in 1880, Tulloch attended the Bedford New York's secondary and senior schools. Tulloch received a magnacum-laude in Harvard University, with double majors in English and American Literature and visual and environmental studies.
