Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response in response to DUI incidents in Charleston led to an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative journalist. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. Alongside her work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and as well contributes to Dateline NBC. She has covered such events as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
